How to cancel your Direct Debit

If you no longer want a payment to be automatically taken when your membership expires, ensure you cancel the direct debit at least 7 days before your membership expires. 


You can do this via The Newt app by following the steps below. Alternatively, contact your bank and request that the scheduled payment to The Newt in Somerset is cancelled.


Please note:

- The person who originally purchased the membership will need to cancel the direct debit. 

- If the payment has already started, this will not refund the payment for the current year. It will cancel the direct debit for the following year.



Step 1

Log in to your app and click on your membership card.


Step 2

Scroll down and click 'Manage Renewal'.


Step 3

Click on the 'Cancel Plan' option.




If you are having difficulties, please ensure you have updated our app to the latest version. 


If you do not recieve confirmation of the cancellation, please contact us via membership@thenewtinsomerset.com with your name, email address and postcode.


If you change your mind, you can purchase and set up a new direct debit membership.
